Tranquility cedarstrip/epoxy canoes are created by assembling and gluing 1/4" thick strips of western red cedar around a form. Sanding, applying fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin inside and out completes the hull. Gunwales, decks, thwarts and seats of cherry are then installed. Several coats of marine varnish finish the canoe. The clear epoxy and fiberglass cloth on both sides of the cedar seal it completely from water and provide strength leaving the interior of the hull with no ribs. The result is a very strong, yet lightweight, canoe that displays the beauty of the wood while having the protection of marine epoxy.

My commitment to detail and perfection limits me to making no more than 3 canoes each year ~ truly a limited edition heirloom.
